1960 Mint Belfiore hand made 800 Silver Floral Frame, in mint condition, unused

Midcentury from 1960 unused Mint Condition 800 Silver, Hand Made in Florence, Italy picture frame. 4” tall, 3” wide, 1/4” thick. But 1/8” to 1/4” taller and wider if including the floral overlay that wraps around the entire frame in finely detailed leaves sculptured in silver. There is some age patina that I’ve not polished away because many collectors and buyers like this antique feature which takes years to naturally form. The silversmith hallmark says, “ * FI 329” and “800.” This means Florence Italy by a Silversmith whose registered number is 329, whose name is Giuseppe Belfiore, known for eclectic works of small production art in silver and gold, and the 800 stands for the density of the silver. Comes with everything original, including picture glass, grey silk fabric lining and grey felt outer lining. The back hinge is hand created and made of silver. This frame is classic Midcentury bold style craftsmanship by Belfiore, highly prized and collectible, especially a mint one. Rare.
