Due to etching on the stone from a laser, it is hard to get an accurate reading when using an heat conductivity test,
They are only meant for flat smooth services, so it is recommended to test underneath the stone

See photo where I have scratch below any possible plating, and you can see that there is solid gold. It appears as though the platinum yellow gold was dipped or red dipped overtime, hence the slight orangey color, but that is due to the process of bonding gold

Center stone may be a sapphire or spinel but it tests as diamond reselling as regardless
