I previously purchased this here. I'm selling it to someone who is looking for it, as I don't have a chance to use it.
This is an M42 mount product.
(Since many people attach it to E-mount cameras, I've indicated it as E-mount. Please use a mount adapter suitable for your camera.)
Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm F2.8 M42
This lens was produced in East Germany after World War II.
It was designed a hundred years ago, but as Carl Zeiss confidently marketed it with the catchphrase "eagle-eye lens," you can enjoy sharpness that you wouldn't expect from an old lens when you stop down the aperture.
Also, the "creamy" bokeh typical of Zeiss lenses is in stark contrast to the often-jittery bokeh found in other old lenses. Comparing them while using them is sure to expand your photographic experience.
Due to its age, there are some scratches and small dust particles, but because it's a lens imported from Germany, it doesn't have the large-scale mold issues often found in lenses stored in Japan. I have also stored it in a dehumidified storage cabinet.
While it's not exactly like new, I think it's a perfect lens for enjoying the classic old lens feel, with its push-in aperture and silver body.
