My duck planter art series was done to see how my art style changes as I paint the same subject matter. I aim to paint all of the duck planters in my current collection.
In this piece, I was consumed by the repetition of black lines all over the painting, which ended up giving it a textured look. The base layer is acrylic. I then went over the artwork with a variety of black ink pens for hours. Painting this in October, I felt a pumpkin in the back of the duck planter was needed.
The final artwork is 8inx10in canvas painting.
