1998 Gt speed series xl. Serial# 01980008 which means it was #8 made in January of 1998. 20.5” top tube length. This was won as a giveaway prize at the grand nationals in the late 90s. Hung on the wall for over 20 years and was never put together. There has never been a bottom bracket or fork in this frame. Notice the “PRO” on the dropouts. There has never been another serial# this low that’s come forward. There has also never been a 98 speed series with PRO stamped on the dropouts that’s come forward either. PRO in this frames case stands for “promotional”. Since it was a giveaway prive. For Years I’ve looked for a 98 with this low of a serial but none have come close in any group nor bmxmuseum website. Either you’re looking for a bike with a cool story behind it. Or you’re just looking for a mint project. This will not disappoint. See pics. Ask questions. Offers welcome!!
