A valuable and detailed record of Japanese pop culture from the late 1960s to the 70s. As the title suggests, it is a personal photographic diary by photographer Masahiro Nogami.
The central and important subject is Happy End, the legendary band that pioneered rock music in Japanese. The photographs begin with shots of Takashi Matsumoto and Haruomi Hosono taken while strolling in Ginza in 1968, and conclude in February 1973, when Hosono's solo album "HOSONO HOUSE" was recorded. Each volume includes conversations between Haruomi Hosono, Yukihiko Okumura, and the author.
