In 1978, Mr. Wakamatsu, a rookie CBS Sony producer, listened to a song flowing from a single cassette tape and later recalled, "I've found a star in the rough." The singer was Noriko Kamachi, later known as Seiko Matsuda, who participated in the audition in Fukuoka. From here, there were twists and turns, and it took over two years to debut, but another wall stood in the way. Her debut song, "Hadashi no Kisetsu (Barefoot Season)," was chosen as the CM song for Shiseido Ekubo facial wash, and she was scheduled to appear in the CM. However, Seiko-san didn't naturally have dimples. The CM was changed, but fortunately, "Hadashi no Kisetsu" was still used and was repeatedly broadcast to the public. A certain phenomenon occurred: inquiries flooded Shiseido asking, "Who is singing that song?" In a hurry, they added Seiko Matsuda's credit to the CM, and the song became a hit, selling over 300,000 copies.
The record offered this time is a promotional white label version of Seiko Matsuda's debut song, "Hadashi no Kisetsu." Considering it was distributed while she was making the rounds with producer Wakamatsu as a newcomer, it would be a treasured piece for Seiko fans. The jacket is clean, and the record has no warping, scratches, or burns, and the sound quality is good. There is little noise for a 45-year-old record, and there are no writings.
However, it is a very old item. Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a perfect condition. Thank you very much.
