The following is a product description:
The 1944 model 501 is a special pair born during World War II.
Due to requests for material conservation due to material controls, many details were omitted from the conventional specifications.
The watch pocket rivets, crotch rivets, and cinch back on the back waist disappeared, and the back pocket reinforcement rivets were also abolished.
Furthermore, the Arcuate stitch was replaced with white paint instead of thread, becoming a symbol of simplification.

The fly buttons use iron laurel leaf buttons without engravings, giving it a wartime expression.
The leather patch is printed with "S501XX", where S stands for Simplified.

The pocket slake uses striped fabric, reflecting the use of leftover fabric at the time.
In the actual wartime model, various fabrics such as flannel and herringbone were diverted, and it has been revived today as a detail that symbolizes that background.

The fabric is selvedge denim woven by Kaihara, a Japanese company.
The finishing process is limited to singeing, and the fabric dyed with a dark navy pure indigo without fluff will develop a rough expression unique to the wartime model as you wear it.
